The representatives of the Resident electoral commissioner (REC) threw much light on the credibility of Inec to hold free and fair election and stated clearly that all hands are on deck to make sure that this year’s elections are done without recording any violence all through the elections’ periods.
They further encouraged the citizens to ensure they procure their PVCs to enable everyone to participate in the voting process as voting is a civic responsibility of all.
Mr Ozi, who represented the zonal commandant ICPC, Enugu explained the dangers involved in vote trading. Mr. Ozi further commented that whoever involves him/herself in vote buying or selling will not go unprosecuted this time as ICPC will not take it gentle with any citizen who tries to mar their efforts so far in ensuring that elections are done peacefully.
The program was brought to an end with Mrs Amaka Nweke, the regional director of Global society for anti corruption (GSAC), stating that the organization is committed to working with Inec and all the security agencies to ensure a credible and violence free election, she commended inec on their work so far and encouraged them to keep it up during the election.
